2022, 7th World Change Day

Peace with Yourself for World Peace

Efforts are ongoing to have this very special day, whose 2022 theme was “Peace with Yourself for World Peace,” added to UNESCO’s list of International Days.

Officials from the International Change Federation provided the following statement regarding the 2022 World Change Day celebrations:
“This special day was proclaimed by the International Change Federation in 2018 for the conscious transformation of individuals, society, and the world, and it has been celebrated with great enthusiasm across the globe every year since then.

As part of this year’s celebrations, free public events were held on Thursday, July 7, in over 100 cities nationwide and around the world. These events created significant awareness around the year’s theme, ‘Peace with Yourself for World Peace.’ The celebrations took place predominantly in public squares and parks, as well as in natural settings. The events featured concerts, dances, transformational breathing practices, and talks raising awareness about the positive transformation of individuals. The celebrations received tremendous support from local municipalities.

Internationally, events were held in countries such as the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Mexico, Japan, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Azerbaijan.

Domestically, celebrations were held across Turkey in cities including Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Adana, Mersin, Tekirdağ, Denizli, Samsun, Antalya, Bursa, Eskişehir, Marmaris, Edremit, Bodrum, Gölcük, Çorlu, and many more.

The International Change Federation also extended its gratitude to all municipalities and private and public entities that supported the celebrations nationwide. Officials expressed their thanks with the following statement:
‘We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the municipalities and private and public entities that supported the 2022 World Change Day celebrations on July 7, especially Şişli Municipality in Istanbul, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Yenimahalle Municipality in Ankara, Adana Metropolitan Municipality, Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality, Mezitli Municipality in Mersin, Marmaris Municipality, and Edremit Municipality. We look forward to coming together again with joyous celebrations on July 7, 2023.’”
